Historic Homes of Lakewood

Lakewood Historical Atlas

Join us as we work to catalog the architecture of Lakewood.

Every home carries traces of the people who built it, changed it, cared for it, and called it their own. Through the Lakewood Historical Atlas, we are working to document Lakewood’s historic homes one property at a time—gathering old photographs, construction dates, architectural details, family stories, maps, and memories to create a richer picture of how the village has changed over time.

The finished project will allow visitors to explore Lakewood through an interactive map, view homes as they appeared in different eras, and compare historic photographs with the streets and buildings we know today. We are especially seeking images of childhood homes, family properties, farms, cottages, and neighborhood streetscapes. Even an ordinary snapshot may preserve a porch, roofline, garden, outbuilding, or neighboring home that no longer exists.

By sharing your photographs and stories, you can help us place your family’s history back on the map—and preserve the character of Lakewood for future generations.
