Help us tell Lakewood's Story

Lakewood’s history is too rich—and too personal—to be preserved by only a handful of people. It lives in family albums, familiar buildings, handwritten notes, old businesses, neighborhood stories, and the memories of people who have called this village home.

Volunteers help us bring those stories together.

Whether you have deep roots in Lakewood, a love of local history, strong organizational skills, or simply a few hours to give, there is a place for you here. Some volunteers work directly with photographs and artifacts. Others help with events, research, technology, writing, outreach, or welcoming visitors. You do not need to be a historian to make a meaningful contribution.
